Big things are NOW happening at NVRH!
NVRH has embarked upon the largest renovation and expansion to its clinical space since its original construction in 1972. This exciting project – totaling a community investment of more than $23.8 million – will add more than 8,300 square feet to the West Wing of the hospital, creating a greatly expanded Emergency Department to include a Mental Health Support Area, and improved spaces for Laboratory and Pharmacy.
We’ve begun construction and you will notice changes to how you access
and enter the hospital, and where you park.

Outdated Spaces
The practice of medicine has evolved significantly over the last 50 years. While NVRH’s team and treatment have advanced – utilizing healthcare’s best practices and processes – the facilities are outdated, particularly the Emergency Department, Laboratory, and Pharmacy. Currently, staff and patients are experiencing:
- Cramped treatment rooms
- Little privacy
- Limited waiting areas
- Too few restrooms
- Too little storage space
- Walk-in and ambulance entrances open to the weather
- Insufficient space to accommodate medical equipment
Your Support = Big Impact
With your help, significant improvements will:
- Increase the size and number of Emergency Department treatment rooms from 9 to 12
- Add an additional 4-room Mental Health Support Suite in the ED
- Add private consultation spaces, additional restrooms and storage areas, and a greatly improved patient drop-off
- Expand the Lab and it’s waiting area, including private blood draw rooms and restrooms
- Expand the pharmacy to include a consultation space
“In 50 years, we’ve seen a 300% increase in patient volume at our Emergency Department. This expansion is going to be a game changer… Your investment today ensures NVRH can meet your needs into the future.” Dr. Ryan Sexton
