NVRH Board Chair. John is the founder/owner of Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides and is one of the most experienced wilderness medicine instructors and outdoor educators in North America, with 40 years of professional outdoor experience. He is a former Director of the American Alpine Club, and holds degrees from Lyndon State College, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State University. In addition to directing Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides, John works as a guide for International Mountain Climbing School teaching avalanche education and rescue courses on Mt. Washington and served for many years on the Board of Directors for Lyndon Rescue. He is very familiar with the NEK’s healthcare landscape and is committed to the wellbeing of our community. A resident of East Burke, John serves as a Trustee of the Burke Mountain Club, a Board Member of the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce, an Alumni Council Member of Northern Vermont University, and most recently as a Legislator in the Vermont House of Representatives.
