NVRH Board Treasurer, Finance Committee Chair. Dan Daley was born and raised in Lyndon. He started his teaching career at Lyndon Institute in 1982. In 2008, he moved to Lyndon State College and in 2022, he became a full-tenured Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science. While at Vermont State University (formerly Lyndon State College and Northern Vermont University), he has served as chair of numerous programs and committees, and served as chair of the Lyndon Faculty Assembly for five years. Community service has included five years on the Lyndon Town Planning Commission (four as chair), eight years as a member of the Lyndon Selectboard (three as chair), and as an NVRH Corporator since 2011. Other activities included being a founding member of Lyndon Area Youth Hockey Association with nearly 40 years of coaching hockey (twice named USA Magazine Coach of the Month), and 26 years as an instructor with the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program. Dan has been married for 37 years to the love of his life, Kathy, and they have two sons and two beautiful granddaughters. In addition, their four-year-old Golden Retriever, Gansett, keeps them active and laughing every day.
