ST. JOHNSBURY, VT (October 20, 2023) – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has released their coveted 2023 Digital Health Most Wired survey results and Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is pleased to announce that the hospital has achieved the highest-achieving ranking for healthcare organizations for the Acute, and Ambulatory survey selections.

The designation, which is a level 7, demonstrates NVRH’s on-going commitment to enhancing healthcare through digital health initiatives.

The survey takes an in-depth look at eight key segments: infrastructure, security, administrative/supply chain, analytics/data management, interoperability/population health, patient engagement, innovation and clinical quality/safety. Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented in this survey, including acute care hospitals, NVRH ranked above peers in multiple categories.

“These results are attributed to the ongoing diligence by our Information Services team,” NVRH Chief Information Officer Shawn Burroughs said. “Their dedication to protection from ever-evolving cybersecurity threats, as well as commitment to improving data analytics brings about enhanced efficiencies and better care management. Ultimately, it improves the care that patients receive – even if it’s behind-the-scenes.”

The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a sort of comprehensive digital health check-up for healthcare organizations around the world. It helps to illustrate the increasing importance of digital programs to impact the quality of patient care, and the survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reinvent healthcare for a changing environment. The achievement stretches beyond information technology and reflects an organization’s commitment to improve healthcare through evolving digital health strategies.

“We’re incredibly proud,” NVRH Chief Executive Officer Shawn Tester said. “For a small hospital, this is an impressive achievement which speaks to our commitment to innovation and to the hard work of our entire Information Services team. These efforts are also remarkable because they demonstrate our commitment to protecting and serving our patients in an ever-changing digital world.”
