NVRH Auxiliary Presents Over $19,000 in Gifts to Hospital Departments
ST. JOHNSBURY, VT (September 23, 2024) – The Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) Auxiliary is excited to announce that it will award $19,861.72 in Wish List requests to several hospital departments.
Every year the Auxiliary and its members raise monies to benefit NVRH patients and staff. This funding comes from sales in the Auxiliary’s Cherry Wheel Gift Shop and vendor sales, and is operated by NVRH volunteers.
When a department is submitting a Wish List request, which is for an item that is not already accounted for in their budget, they consider the cost of their request and how it will serve patients and staff.
For 2024, the NVRH Auxiliary awarded the following departments the following Wish List items:
- Birth Center – a birth sling and birth simulator
- Cardiac Rehab – entertainment device and subscription
- Chaplaincy – prayer shawl yarn
- Corner Medical – ultrasonic doppler and accessories
- Day Surgery & Center for Pain Management – pagers and charging station
- Diagnostic Imaging – IV training arm
- Emergency Department – pediatric IV items
- Marketing – noise canceling headphone for construction
- Northern Physical Therapy – joint models
- Pulmonology – blanket warmer
- West Wing Projects – outdoor benches
All NVRH volunteers automatically become members of the NVRH Auxiliary. NVRH is currently recruiting for volunteers across many service areas. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at NVRH, please call Pat Forest, Director of Volunteer Services, at 802-748-7310.
