NVRH Marketing Receives Gold for Social Media campaign
Selfies promote mask wearing, social distancing, COVID-19 precautions
ST. JOHNSBURY, VT (January 20, 2021) – Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) has received Gold from the 1st Annual Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards for its social media campaign, Keeping Our Community Safe. Staff members took selfies to highlight mask wearing and described the COVID-19 precautions they were taking while out in the community.
“We wanted to model the CDC guidelines for mask wearing outside of the immediate NVRH community,” said Laural Ruggles, VP of Marketing and Community Health. “Because even when we’re not at work, we’re following precautions and we’re serving as role models for the public.”
The 1st Annual Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards operates under the umbrella of the Healthcare Advertising Awards, which is one of the oldest healthcare advertising awards competition. To select the winners of the 1st Annual Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards, a national panel reviewed each submission, and entries were judged on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
The success of the social media campaign was made possible thanks to the participatory nature of the NVRH community.
“My seven year-old-son was so excited to be a part of this campaign and to learn that he helped the organization to win a GOLD,” NVRH VP of Medical Practices Laura Newell said.
