ST. JOHNSBURY, VT (January 8, 2025) – The Charles M. and Hanna H. Gray Gallery at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is starting off the new year with a new exhibit by artist Kate Arslambakova.
Working primarily with oils, acrylic, collage on paper, and mixed media, Arslambakova paints colorful imagery that evokes both still lives of fruit and flowers and anatomical illustrations.
“Since a young age, I have been fascinated by the world inside us,” Arlambakova says in her artist statement, “how these complex systems develop and work together to help us function…Through the visual play of colors, textures and shapes in each painting, I aim to arouse the curiosity of the viewer and lure them in for a closer look, hoping to elicit a dialogue about their relationship with their own anatomy.”
She received her BFA in painting and MA in Arts Administration from Florida State University and is currently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts program at the Vermont State University, Johnson. Since 2008, Arslambakova has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including solo exhibitions at Renditions: An Art Space (2011), Studio Place Arts (2023), Kellogg-Hubbard Library (2024). She currently curates the CVMC Art Gallery at the Central Vermont Medical Center.
The exhibit will be on display at The Charles M. and Hannah H. Gray Gallery located on the hospital’s main floor through March 8, 2026. 25% of all sales from the exhibit will directly benefit NVRH and its mission to provide exceptional care to our community.
