Caryn Everett, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Caryn Everett, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined Kingdom Internal Medicine in May 2015.  She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA.  She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Caryn grew up in the seacoast NH area and graduated summa cum laude from University of New Hampshire with a BS in biology. She then worked for two years at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR), a translational research laboratory studying conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. It was while she worked at CNDR that she developed an interest in healthcare and primary care in particular, and thus decided to become a nurse practitioner.

With a goal of practicing in a rural setting, Caryn enjoys being a clinician at Kingdom Internal Medicine.  Her special interests include preventive healthcare, nutrition, chronic disease management, and palliative care.

Caryn lives in central Vermont with her husband.  They enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and anything outdoorsy, including running, hiking, kayaking, and cross country skiing.

 Joyce Vitale, MSN, NP-Chas

Joyce Vitale, MSN, NP-C has joined Kingdom Internal Medicine as a full-time Nurse Practitioner. She received her RN from Lasell College in Newton, MA and her Master of Science Nurse Practitioner degree from Simmons College, in Boston, MA. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Joyce worked as an RN on the neurosurgery, dialysis and general surgery units at Boston Medical Center for 8 years. After earning her Nurse Practitioner degree, she has spent her entire professional career as a provider in the adult primary care field. She taught nursing students at the University of Massachusetts for 3 years, and was a clinical preceptor as well.

Joyce has practiced in a variety of settings, including acute care, long term care and psychiatric settings. Her special interests include women’s health, diabetes, psychiatry and mental health as well as nutrition. She is enjoying her position at KIM – “Everyone is lovely here, and I’ve been warmly welcomed. The office is very patient focused, which is terrific, since I feel I can really focus on satisfying the needs of each patient. They are appreciative, polite and very grateful.”

Joyce has a daughter who lives in Wolcott, VT and two sons living in Massachusetts. She and her partner love their retired racing greyhounds, and anything to do in the outdoors, including show shoeing, kayaking, and skiing.
