Continuing Education & Workforce Development

“I like that we work as a team and I like that we get to work closely with the providers,” NVRH Emergency Department nurse Kelsey Limauro, RN, who did the New Graduate Nurse Residency, says. “We see everything, and you have to be on your feet. It’s challenging, but in a good way.”

Elevate Your Career with NVRH

NVRH has new and expanded continuing education and workforce development programs designed to empower our staff. We understand the importance of professional growth and value of education and we want to reduce the barriers to continuing education.

Tuition Reimbursement and Loan Repayment

We believe that investing in your education is investing in the future of our hospital. Our program offers generous tuition reimbursement and educational loan repayment to eligible employees who seek to pursue further education or specialized training. Whether you’re interested in advancing your nursing degree, acquiring certifications, or exploring new healthcare disciplines, we’ve got you covered.

Dedicated Nursing Education Department

Our team of experienced and knowledgeable Nursing Educators are ready to support you throughout your educational journey. Our educators offer a robust multi-day clinical orientation and provide regular unit and hospital-wide educational programing.

New Graduate Nurse Residency

Newly licensed Registered Nurses are offered a comprehensive 6 month residency program to support them during their transition to independent practice, in additional to one-on-one presented unit orientation. New graduates learn with a cohort of their peers, participating in weekly education days for 12 weeks, then monthly education days for the remainder of the program. The program culminates with a capstone project and ceremony.
