Sept. – Dec. HealthyChoices Now Available!

ST. JOHNSBURY, VT (August 20, 2024) – Readers of the newly released September – December edition of the HealthyChoices newsletter, a health and wellness resource Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) publishes three times a year, will now find even more resources in its pages. The colorful, free publication, which features affordable community wellness programs to help individuals maintain their health, will also include post-flood and mental health support resources.

“With this latest issue, we found out that we had the opportunity to make the newsletter a bit bigger,” NVRH Community Health Resource Center Coordinator Mary Maurer said. “It was the perfect opportunity to include information on how to stay healthy after all this flooding. It also allowed us to include a more robust mental health listing.”

The publication, which includes NVRH sponsored programs, fitness centers, kids’ activities, community partner programs, area food resources, outdoor recreation venues and support groups is mailed directly to community members. It is also available at nvrh.org.

Also included in the newsletter are programs and workshops that provide assistance to those living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiac concerns. The September – December edition, similar to the spring edition, also includes information on the upcoming West Wing Project, the hospital’s Emergency, Laboratory and Pharmacy department expansion.
