“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Koella to NVRH. John comes to us with a wealth of clinical knowledge gleaned from over 20 years in private practice in Saratoga Springs, NY. John and I went to UVM College of Medicine together, so I am particularly pleased to be able to practice with him both at the beginning of our careers and at the pinnacle of our careers,” said Dr. Mike Rousse, Director of Hospitalist Services at NVRH.
Dr. Koella’s wife, Dr. Susan Sharp is a pathologist at NVRH. They have two children, one of whom is an architect living in Manhattan, NY and the other is a medical assistant in a primary care clinic in Burlington, VT.
“I’m happy to be at NVRH. People have been very friendly, warm and welcoming. I appreciate this rural location and the opportunity to bring my years of medical practice and knowledge together under one roof,” said Koella. When able, Dr. Koella enjoys tinkering outdoors on his property in Braintree, VT.
