Jeanne McBride is Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital’s new Director of Laboratory Services. She spent the last five years at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH, working in both supervisory and quality assurance roles. She has spent her entire professional career working in laboratories in healthcare settings, so she brings a great deal of knowledge as well as supervisory background to her position at NVRH. “I feel very welcome here. The laboratory staff has a great deal of knowledge, as well as a solid commitment to great patient care and professional integrity.”
Jeanne grew up in Brooklyn, NY, graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Medical Technology. She then received her MS in Epidemiology, with a minor in bio-statistics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
While pursuing her Masters degree, she worked at Holyoke Hospital as a Medical Technologist. During the summer she interned with the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA.
Jeanne is certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathology; she has worked in virtually every position possible in a healthcare laboratory. “Jeanne is a terrific addition to our lab; she brings an excellent background of knowledge and passion for what she does, as well as great energy and optimism. We are very pleased to have her at NVRH,” said Paul Bengtson, CEO.
Jeanne lives with her husband and three children in Norwich, VT. She loves to spend time with her family, cook and read.
