Brynn Evans is the new Director of Development at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. As Director of Development, she will oversee the fundraising for both the annual fund and capital improvements. Brynn grew up in St. Johnsbury, attended the Academy and is very pleased to be living and working in her community.
She earned her BA from SUNY Plattsburgh, and her MBA from Plymouth State University.
Evans was most recently the executive director at Meals on Wheels of Lamoille County, where she did two separate stints, on either side of having her 2nd child. Before Meals on Wheels, she worked as a program coordinator for RSVP, a Central Vermont based nonprofit that connects volunteers with community agencies that need volunteer help.
A strong supporter of non-profits, Evans is very excited about her new position at NVRH. “I love development. To me, it’s about community and relationships. Getting people excited about something I’m excited about is great.” She feels welcomed and supported at the hospital.
Her eight year position as Executive Director at Meals on Wheels demanded a wide range of responsibilities, including fundraising and development to meet the annual budget and future financial goals, donor analysis, cultivation and procurement of grants, marketing and community outreach, collaboration with community leaders, working with the Board of Directors and management of 200 volunteers.
Additionally, she worked for two years at Zutano, Inc. in Cabot, VT as the Accounting and Human Resource Administrator.
Paul Bengtson, NVRH CEO feels fortunate to have Brynn at NVRH. “Brynn is very energetic and brings great enthusiasm to her position as Director of Development. Her commitment to non-profit institutions in general, her knowledge of the community, work ethic and focus are invaluable assets to her position.”
Brynn lives in Barnet with her husband and their two young children. She thoroughly enjoys time with friends and family, reading, camping and attending concerts.
