Michelle Blanchard, Registered Respiratory Therapist is the new supervisor of Respiratory Care at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Blanchard was most recently a Respiratory Therapist with First Community Care in White River Junction, VT. She has worked at Keene Medical in Lebanon, NH as well as Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, VT.
Blanchard graduated from New Hampshire Community Technical College in Claremont, NH with an Associate in Science Degree, as well as a degree in Respiratory Therapy. “People at NVRH are kind and welcoming. Everyone has been very supportive, which I deeply appreciate. I’m very excited to be here,” said Blanchard of her arrival at NVRH.
“Michelle offers a fresh and exciting new perspective to the patient care and operations of Respiratory Therapy. I am pleased that she chose NVRH, and in her short tenure here she has made a great impact, with many ideas for both inpatient and outpatient programs that I’m looking forward to seeing implemented,” said Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Seleem Choudhury.
The Respiratory Care department diagnoses, treats and educates people with pulmonary and cardiac problems. They perform Pulmonary Function Tests, Overnight Oximetry tests, Arterial Blood Gases, Cardiac Stress Tests, Holter and Cardiac Event Recorders and Electroencephalogram tests. Blanchard has four children, and one grandson. She lives with her fiancé in Fairlee, VT.
