The Charles M. and Hanna H. Gray Gallery at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is proud to present a collection of works by artists in the Atelier Art Workshop . The artists, ages 12 to 87, create and expand their skills and study of the Fine Arts under the guidance of local artist Edward Kadunc of Barnet. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a venue for local artists where they can continue to develop through instruction and inspiration from other artists.
Atelier Kadunc, located in St. Johnsbury, offers classes in a variety of media and styles, staying true to traditional artistic methods (occasionally referred to as “Old School”). The exhibit in the Gray gallery displays works from a variety of media by artists currently participating in the workshop.
Artists include Les Aldridge, Kim Augery, Cathy Dillinger, Phyllis Donovan, Marilyn McEnery, Caleb Gracie, Lewis Allen Kirshner,Anna Pinkerton, Catherine Roy, Gary Roberts, Susanne Roberts, Olivia Ruffner, Peter R. Sinclair, Cathy Smith, Cynthia Steil, Barbara Stowell, Lynn Troy, Barb Walker, Libby Welch, and Diane Willson.
Edward Kadunc established the workshop in 2010. He draws inspiration and motivation from the relationships between landscape and people of our region . Prior to that, he worked in the field of commercial art for 25 years. His formal training came from several schools and universities, including Syracuse University and the University of Miami. American artist and printmaker Barry Moser was a mentor. Kadunc is currently teaching several classes in fine arts and sculpture at the St. Johnsbury House and the Littleton Studio School, in addition to the classes at the Atelier Art Workshop.
