Happy New Year – Really!
With the turmoil surrounding “health reform” in this country, it is sometimes a challenge to think that the New Year will be all that happy as people wonder about how the changes will affect their families, their employees and themselves.
At Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, our goal has been to keep our eye on our mission, vision and values while we work on smooth transitions in the months and years to come. Our mission is straightforward: to improve the health of the population we serve. Our vision is: to be people’s choice for care, for work, for learning and for volunteering. And, we value the inherent dignity and privacy of ALL patients.
I know we can avoid the motion sickness produced by “reform” if we keep focused on the “main things” – our mission, vision and values.
We are here for you, and plan to strengthen the resources we already have in place to serve you. Our aim is to avoid the rogue waves of change by always looking ahead and adapting quickly to external surprises.
Our Community Connections program here at the hospital is a one-stop solution shop to help you address health insurance questions, navigate the health care system, and access programs and services here at NVRH and in the community.
NVRH works hard to make sure you have convenient access to highly trained and compassionate medical professionals, as well as the latest technologies in diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing. In an emergency, we are always open. New moms, dads, and babies are supported with prenatal, labor and delivery, lactation support and car seat safety help. In the last year, we’ve partnered with others to keep Ear, Nose and Throat services local, and added Palliative Care consults to round out our comprehensive palliative care program.
Please know that NVRH looks forward to meeting the healthcare challenges on your behalf.
