New trustees Martha Ide, Jane Arthur, Ken Norris and Tracey Holbrook were unanimously elected. Trustees William Sargent, MD, Catherine Boykin, James Newell and Tom Paul were each elected to another three-year term.
Twenty Corporators were re-elected to a five year term, and sixteen new Corporators were also elected. The NVRH Corporators represent all the towns in the hospital’s service area.
Al Gobeille, Chair of the Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) spoke about the current and future state of health care in the state of Vermont. The GMCB is charged with controlling the costs of health care in Vermont and it regulates hospital and insurance rates as well as capital improvement projects for hospitals. Gobeille was very complimentary of all people who work in health care, thanking them for their expertise and care; he issued a special thank you to physicians for their tireless efforts in an ever-changing landscape.
Steve Nichols, Trustee and Chair of the Development Committee, wrapped up the evening by showing a video voicing gratitude for those who support the hospital and opportunities for those who are interested in volunteering.
