Depression Information and Resources

What Is Depression?

Everyone has times in their life when we feel sad. Usually these feelings pass within a couple of days. Depression is a common, but a more serious condition.

When you have depression, it interferes with daily life and causes pain for both you and those who care about you.

Do you often feel sad or depressed?  If you answer "yes" to this question, call your health care provider and make an apppointment right away.

Depression can be treated.  Many people with depression never seek treatment. Medications, psychotherapies, and other methods can effectively treat people with depression.
